THE RASCAL SIGNATURE COLLECTION

The Rascal fleet consists of three custom-built phinisi yachts: Rascal, Rebel and Rogue (which launches in 2025.) Each vessel is meticulously handmade using ironwood and teak by our friends the Hajis - a family of master craftsmen from Tanah Beru on the island of Sulawesi. Once built to operate as sailing cargo vessels, our phinisis are now designed specifically for the kind of luxury cruising where you feel like you are on your own private floating villa, with all the comfort and facilities of the very best five-star resort.

STYLISH SISTERS AT SEA

Rascal, Rebel and Rogue are designed as sister ships, each featuring red hulls, and branded white and blue throughout for a fresh, marine-nautical feel. Just like sisters though, each comes with their own distinct personality: Rascal, our flagship vessel, is a blend of Hamptons-chic meets traditional Indonesia. Rebel features more black and white detailing, traditional Ikat textiles and pared-back décor – a mix that we like to call Tribal Luxe. We’re excited to introduce you to the individuality of Rogue when she’s officially launched in 2025.

Rebel is a traditional handmade phinisi yacht built in 2020 in Sulawesi, Indonesia. Measuring 30m in length, she accommodates up to 10 guests across 5 cabins, 4 spacious common areas, a fine wine cellar and a cinema under the stars. Inspired by the rich local craft of Indonesia and featuring hand-woven fabrics and carvings, the interiors are a blend of modern laid-back luxe with a tribal vibe.

MODERN SPACIOUS SPIN ON TRADITION

Older phinisis traditionally featured sails, but all modern cruising yachts now feature engines capable of 6-8 knots that render them purely cosmetic, so, at Rascal we took one of our many unconventional, ground-breaking decisions: to remove the masts in order to maximise space and allow light-filled cabins above deck for all guests. Across the fleet, Cabins 1, 2 and 3 are now located on the main deck, while Cabin 4 and the Master Cabin are on the upper deck. Elsewhere, our airy open spaces and common areas deliver a wealth of Imax-wide views and shaded or sunny corners to relax in.

AN EYE FOR COMFORT AND BEAUTY

A good night’s sleep can make or break a vacation and so we use luxuriant mattresses, bedding and bed linen from King Koil. Ever keen to make you feel at home on the high seas, you’ll find all furniture is custom-made for each ship, and the interiors are detailed with warm, welcoming, naturally sourced materials such as bamboo, mother-of-pearl, fan shell and marble. We handpick artworks and handicrafts from Timor, Sulawesi, Lombok, Borneo and beyond, and also use orchids, cacti and succulents to add soft touches of green to the Rascal palette and bring the natural world indoors.
